Mzuri performance

United Nations Association of Australia – World Environment Awards Night, Grand Hyatt, Melbourne.
"Mzuri was wonderful, everyone loved the performance. I have only had positive feedback about the night. Thanks once again, for a terrific performance". -

Mzuri performance at Secondary School

For the second year in a row the Mzuri Dance Company ensemble have been the feature performers at Preston Girls Secondary College's (PGSC) Harmony Day. Harmony Day celebrates the multi-cultural heritage of the more than 30 countries represented by our students.

On both occasions the Company delivered magnificently engaging and dynamic performances that had a wide appeal to our audience. Director Suzi Mzuri is very skilled at engaging the students in movement, dance, chant, ritual and song. The shows are fast moving, highly interactive, exciting, cross-age and cross-cultural (last year we had a Primary School audience to supplement our Secondary Schools students). The students on both occasions took very little time to rise and actively take part in the show.

Additionally, we have many recently arrived students from politically unstable zones in Africa, including southern Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Egypt and Zimbabwe. The Pan-African soul of Mzuri's music and dance helps to physically and emotionally bind these girls culturally to their new political and social environment. They enthusiastically and proudly take part in these events with a special joy as they share dance and music with the whole school community

I wholeheartedly recommend the Mzuri Dance Company for any festive or celebratory occasion.

Corporate team building workshop

Suzanne and her colleague Jessy took on a very active role, leading our team of eighty people through a range of energizing team building exercises, drumming instruction and the development of small group presentations. Both instructors had done significant work to build our company themes and values into their activities, ensuring the event was relevant, appropriate and appealing to our employees.

I found Suzanne to be flexible in her approach and willing to adapt her standard presentation style to fit our particular needs. Participating employees responded well to her approach and readily participated in the drumming activities.

I would be happy to recommend the Mzuri Dance Company.- Con Loukos. Retails Contracts Mangaer, TXU. 2nd June 2005

Dance school

“Thankyou, for great workshops, Suzanne. I wish I could have attended the hiphop as well, I haven't forgotten the harvesting dance you taught us at Utassy Ballet several years ago, Suzanne, and I often use your "Ooni pe" song as a lung-warmer with my choirs and dancers in teaching. I suspect my dancing is still a bit stiff and classical, but I did have a wonderful time -- THANKYOU!
Monica and Mary say that they loved the hiphop - fun, energetic and leaving you wanting to do more, great dance moves which transfer into other spheres, not too difficult, great exercise, and Monica wants to come along next year with me!
I am interested in classes next year
All the best, and thanks from all of us in Warrandyte. Cheers,
” -  Kass Harding.

It is a very good experience because Suzie is a very good dancer. She’s fun and friendly which really motivates me to come to class and also her effort of remembering our names. Thank you so much,
