Service Description
Learn a simple, fun, high energy 'Afrobeats' inspired dance, drum and song performance over 8 weeks. No experience necessary. Gentle yoga based warm up and cool down. Option to pop on a costume and join in the fun of performing at a festival/ community workshop at the end of the program. 8 x classes will be held weekly on a week evening in Fitzroy OR Clifton Hill venue to be confirmed 5.30-6.30pm 2023. No casual drop in classes available. Young People aged 8-11 years are encouraged to come with no previous experience necessary. Wheelchair access. Class Dates : TBC week commencing 24th April - and finishing week of 19th June - Please note there is no session on Monday 12 June - long weekend Booking essential and class limit's apply. Venue: Florence Peel Centre - 190 Young St Fitzroy (Corner of Moor and Young - Please note Google Maps takes you a bit further down the road so make sure you look a bit closer and see where Florence Peel centre is - located next to Police Station and opposite Sacred Heart PS)
